As promised, here are a few more pictures!  A quick tour of the main entry, bedrooms, bathrooms and the mudroom.

This is one of the two bedrooms on the main floor. This sweet room is on the north side of the house.  It is long and narrow and it has white beadboard, yellow wallpaper, floor to ceiling shelves and a dresser with upper cabinets built into the closet (sorry, no picture of that yet…darn it!).  The windows had these nice sage green velvet curtains that I like…but not in this room. Maybe I will find a new home for them.  The wood fir floors were covered in thick dark green carpet…the same carpet is on the stairs going to the second floor.

This is a picture of the closet of the other bedroom on the main floor. The bedroom is a nice size and a blank slate with white walls. Sorry – no before pictures other than this one – which I apparently thought was important for me to take for some reason. Seriously now…..how many bedrooms have their own wine cellar in the closet!

The entire upstairs is this one big room, a hallway with built-in drawers under the eaves, a bathroom, and a small dressing room type area with a window seat and closets. The ceilings are low in places in the hall and in this room around the edges – so you need to be careful you don’t bonk your head!  The green floor in this room was ….well… really green!  My husband Harry, being the big Oregon Duck fan that he is, suggested that a big white or yellow O in the middle of the room would be the perfect thing.

That idea got nixed right away.

This bathroom was probably added sometime in the nineties.  It also has a green painted floor, a big green cabinet with marble top, white beadboard, and a really nice skylight.  The wallpaper is the same as in the big room and most important of all – great water pressure in the shower.

The mudroom and laundry are in the side entry just off of the kitchen.  A large and sunny space with plenty of storage, a big coat rack for wet, drippy rain gear, and a nice counter top for folding big beach towels!

And last, but not least, we have the mudroom shower. Great for washing off little sandy kids… if we still had any little sandy kids.  We do, however, have some big sandy guys and a little sandy dog so this amenity should come in handy!  Just need a hand-held for rinsing because you are going to be right out there in the middle of things – not a place for stripping down all the way!
